Clean your dentures every day by soaking and brushing with a nonabrasive denture cleanser. Remember that denture cleansers should only be used to clean dentures outside of the mouth. Make sure you always thoroughly rinse your dentures after soaking and brushing them with the denture cleanser prior to reinserting them into your mouth.
Never place your dentures in boiling water.
Remove your denture at a convenient time to give your mouth a rest. To prevent your denture from drying out, always store it in water.
Denture adhesives can help your dentures be more stable and also prevent food particles from getting trapped underneath. It is important to discuss the proper use of denture adhesives with your Prosthodontist.
Always handle your denture over a sink filled with water so that if you drop your denture, it will not break.
Dentures should be cleaned annually by your Prosthodontist using specialized cleaning ultrasonics to remove bacteria and plaque.
