It can be done within one or multiple sessions, as per the need of your teeth; while each session lasts for about thirty to sixty minutes!

Whereas, at-home bleaching, as the name suggests, is easily done at your homes using a mold customized according to your teeth and bleaching gel. Bleaching gel is applied on the mold, while the mold is fixed to the teeth for few hours a day. This method can increase the whiteness of your teeth within two weeks.

2. Home Remedies

Home remedies are being followed since ancient times, and still they prove to be a great source of rectification on a budget! A traditional Indian technique called oil pulling, in which oil is swished in the mouth to remove bacteria that cause plaques on teeth. Any oil can be used such as coconut oil, sesame oil and sunflower oil. Brushing teeth with a paste made from baking soda and water is also an effective way to remove surface stains and maintain the whiteness of your teeth.

3. Teeth Whitening and Maintenance

Teeth whitening products are easily available in drug stores and retailers. These are either in the form of gel or strips. However, they’re not as effective as bleaching agents used by dentists as they are not as strong. However, whitening can be achieved after a prolong usage of whitening products! It is important to maintain the whitening as well as treat the teeth using sensitive toothpaste.

4. Pay Attention to Your Oral Hygiene

In order to have whiter teeth, you must be particular of your oral hygiene. A few simple steps towards your oral hygiene can go a long way in keeping your teeth white. Firstly, make it a point to always brush your teeth immediately after consuming foods and beverages, which are known to cause teeth stain. In addition, a whitening toothpaste and periodic flossing will definitely lead to whiter and brighter teeth.

5. Know What You Consume

It is important to turn away from products that can cause teeth staining such as tea, coffee and berries. These products easily cause discoloration of your teeth due to the Chromogens (deeply pigmented molecules) that are present in them, by binding to the enamel of your teeth. However, if you still do plan on consuming such beverages then using a straw while drinking will help to prevent plaque.
